Review: Ipsy Glambag June 2014

Monday, June 23, 2014

Hello everyone! Today I have a review for June's Ipsy Glambag! I'm a little late with posting this, but better late than never, right?
Let's hop right into it!
What the bag looks like when it arrives.
What it is: Ipsy is a monthly subscription service that sends you 4-6 deluxe and full sized products to your door each month!

Cost and shipping: Ipsy costs $10 a month and ships to the US and Canada. Ipsy bills you on the first of each month and you should get your bag around the middle of the month!

The card that came in the bag. This month's theme was Pretty in Paradise!

Rebecca Minkoff Bag: I really love this bag! It's really cute and summery. I've never heard of Rebecca Minkoff (the designer of the bag) before, so I might have to look into her and see what else she designs!

Marc Anthony Dream Waves Beach Spray (Sample Size: 45ml- $3): I haven't tried this product out yet, but I've always wanted to! I love the beach wave look, and I hate braiding my hair or using an iron to get that beach wave look. I'm super excited and happy that I got it in my bag! I was really hoping that I got this product. Yay!

SKINN Olive & Enzyme Cleanser (Sample Size: 2oz- $7): I'm not sure if I like this or hate it. I'm happy I got a cleanser in my bag since I love switching up my skincare routine quite a bit. I think it's cool that it's a two in one product since you can use it as a cleanser or a mask, but I don't know. I haven't tried it as a mask yet, so we'll see how it turns out!

Be A Bombshell Lash Out Mascara (Full size- $15): This mascara smells strongly of chemicals in my opinion. I didn't want to put it anywhere near my eyes because of the smell. But since I payed for this bag, I wanted to try everything! It clumped up on my lashes and became very brittle and left residue under my eyes. And on top of that, it was VERY irritating! Big thumbs down for this product.

Nicka K Shimmer Eyeliner-Green (Full Size- $5): I love the color of this eyeliner! It's very... Daring? In my opinion. I love trying out new makeup and I really love making new eye looks, so this is perfect for me! The green color (my camera made it look blue) really makes my eyes pop! I love it! The only downside is that the brush is a bit irritating and pokey!

NYX Butter Gloss- Apple Strudel (Full Size- $5): I've never tried a NYX product before, but I've always wanted to! I really like this gloss.. Especially the color! If you haven't read my Birchbox review, I got a purple lip color and I was very upset since I'll never wear it! But this color is perfect for me! I'm so happy with this product!

Overall, I am quite happy with this bag this month! The total value of my bag was $35! Totally worth the money! I would totally recommend this to family and friends! You get way more than what you pay for!
Did you guys get June's Ipsy bag? If so, what did you get? I'd love to know!
I hope you all have a fantastic day!

Ciao,
Heather

Life's Snapshots- Instagram

Saturday, June 14, 2014

Hello everyone! Today I thought I'd start a new little.. Series? Of blogposts! These posts will have photos from Instagram that I've been uploading recently-anywhere from a week to two weeks. I hope you'll all enjoy these posts!

June 4: I got to visit my boyfriend on this day! We went to this place called Retro Dog with two of his friends. It was pretty good, and I liked the uniqueness of the place! I would definitely love to go back to this place again!

June 6: I don't know how many of you guys know this, but I LOVE Nintendo! I'm a huge fan of both Zelda and Mario Kart. I was continuously watching streams of the new Mario Kart game since it came out. I really wanted the game, but we didn't have a WiiU. However, on this day, my mom bought me the WiiU Mario Kart 8 Bundle! Let's just say, this thing is definitely getting it's money's worth.

June 7: Well, I actually took this photo on the 6th when we saw this movie, but I didn't post the picture until the next day. On the 6th, my boyfriend came to my house to visit me and we went to go see The Fault In Out Stars. The movie was really, really good, and I bawled my eyes out. Of course.

June 8: This is another photo that I actually took back on the 4th when my boyfriend and I went to that Retro Dog place. They had a bunch of really weird/unique milkshakes, and we decided to get one! This one was the Elvis Presley shake that was inspired by his PeanutButter banana sandwich he always had. It was REALLY good! My boyfriend barely got to drink it. Hah.

June 11: Blackmail Wednesday! Muahaha. I have so much blackmail on my boyfriend, it's ridiculous. I decided to post a #blackmailwednesday photo of him since I haven't done it in a while. I'm so glad he usually doesn't care when I do this. Hahaha.

June 12: I love posting Throw Back Thursday photos on Instagram. This Thursday I happened to turn on my iPad and I found these photos that my boyfriend and I took. These were the first photos we ever took together, so I figured it would be a good throwback photo! (:

June 12: I finally finished cleaning my room on this day, and I found a huge box full of all my Nintendo Power magazines! Including the very last issue which I decided to photograph!

June 12: I took quite a few photos on this day. Ooops! Well, this is my finished room. All nice and clean! And I finally have a desk (It's actually a makeup/jewelry organizer, but no one needs to know that!) in my room! Yay! I seriously never want to leave my room now, I love it so much. It took me a month to finally finish cleaning/rearranging it since moving back home for the summer.

June 13: I actually decided to wear makeup and make myself look nice yesterday, so I took a selfie! Yay for selfies!

June 13: I went grocery shopping with my mom yesterday and came across this. As soon as I seen it, I died laughing and I had to take a photo of it. I don't know why I found this so funny, but I did. Note: They were actually 2 for $6, not 2 for $5.... Those lying jerks!

Well, that's all I have for you guys today. I hope you have a wonderful day!

Review: Bergdorf Goodman Glossybox May 2014

Saturday, June 7, 2014

Hello everyone! I have a lovely review for you guys today, and this time it's for Glossybox!

A little peek inside the box.
What is it: Glossy box is a monthly subscription box that sends 5-6 high end deluxe beauty samples to your door once every month!

An even better peek inside the box!
Cost and shipping: Glossybox costs $21 a month and ships to the United States. Glossybox ships via USPS and usually ships during the third week of the month. Mine took only two days to get to me! Yay!

This month, Glossybox teamed up with Bergdorf Goodman and created this wonderful box! I'm super excited about this box! It's my first box, and I can't wait to get more !(once I get a job and have more income coming in!)

And these are the products that I got in my box!

Lancer Eye Contour Lift Cream (Sample Size: .15oz- $55): This eye cream is used to diminish lines and dark circles under your eyes, which I do not have. However, my sister does. So this little fellow might go to my sister, especially since I got two eye creams in this box. The full sized product is .5oz and sales for $95.

Atelier Cologne: Rose Anonyme Cologne Absolute (Sample Size: 7ml- $20): I'm not a huge fan of this cologne. It's really strong, and it doesn't really smell like roses to me. It does start smelling OK when it wears off, but I'm still not a huge fan of it. I'm going to try and get used to this cologne and use all of it since I don't know of anyone who would like it. The full size product can be bought as a 3.3oz or a 6.7oz bottle and sales for $140/$200.

Révive Intensité Volumizing Eye Serum (Sample Size: .1oz- $70): Oh.My.Goodness. The price of this serum makes me want to try this out right away. Like I said earlier, I'm not an eye cream type of person. But if just a sample size of this is worth 70 bucks, I'm definitely going to see if this thing works wonders. It better work wonders! The full size product is .5oz and sales for $350.

Napoleon Perdis Auto Pilot Pre-Foundation Skin Primer (Sample Size: .5oz- $13.50): I like this primer. It goes on smoothly and keeps my makeup looking fantastic all day! My makeup goes over this primer so easily and it doesn't crease at all! I will definitely purchase the full sized product when I get more money! The full sized product is 1.7oz and sales for $45.

Alterna Caviar CC Cream (Sample size: .85oz- $8.50): I haven't tried this product out yet, but I'm super excited to! I've never used a CC cream for my hair before, but I've wanted to for a while! This product says that it has ten benefits in this one bottle, which are: moisture, shine, smoothness, softness, UV protection, manageability, strength, anti-breakage, heat protection, and light hold. I hope this stuff keeps it's promises, cause my hair needs all of what it says! The full size product is 2.5oz and sales for $25.

Iluminage Skin Prep Gentle Cleanser (Sample size: .5oz- $7.00): I like this cleanser! It smells nice and it's super gentle on your skin! It left my skin feeling clean and soft! I haven't used it that much to say if it's helped with breakout or not, but I definitely enjoy using it! The full size product is 5oz and is $25.

On top of all the products that came in the box, the box also came with a $25 gift card! Which I spent within two days of having the box. I can smell a review of that product coming very soon!
Overall, I really love this box. And it's totally worth the money! The total value of the box, not including the gift card, is $174!! I would definitely recommend this box to friends and family. And I'd totally keep my subscription if I could. Don't worry Glossybox! I'll be back for some more of your lovely boxes!

Did any of you get May's Glossybox? If so, which products did you get in yours? I'd love to know what you thought about it!
I hope you all have an amazing day!

Ciao,
Heather

Favorite Photo Of The Week #4

Tuesday, June 3, 2014

Hello everyone!
I decided to do my favorite photo of the week post today since 1.) I haven't done one in a while and 2.) I haven't posted anything for about...Two weeks.
I took this photo about two weeks before I left College to come back home for the summer. I really miss it there, shockingly. I was really glad to come home for the summer, but since I've been home for a month now, I've realized how much I love it at school. (When there is no homework of course. Hah.)
Life at home has been pretty tough recently, which is taking a toll on blog posts and all that jazz. So I'm sorry about that!
I'm trying to get back into my blogging routine, and I do have a review, that I've been slacking on, that will hopefully be up sometime this week! I'll give you guys a hint.. It's a subscription box review!
I hope you guys have a wonderful day!

Ciao,
Heather
