Festival Fun

Wednesday, July 30, 2014

This guy looked over as soon as I was taking this photo. It was kind of awkward, so I just smiled and walked away. Haha.

Hello everyone!
So the day my boyfriend and I went to see the pugs, there was actually a little festival going on. The Ohio Pug Rescue was there at the festival as one of he rescue groups/vendors that they invited to the event. The main reason we went to the festival was because of the pugs, so we didn't spend much time playing games or riding the rides that they had there. However, I didn't want to make the trip seem like a waste to my boyfriend, so I told him that we should walk around and see what else was there. There were a lot more rescue groups, a lot of vendors that weren't really interesting to the younger crowd, rides and games (as I've mentioned already), a dog show, concerts, and even a canine demonstration!
It was a cute little festival and I totally would've went on some of the rides if it was cheaper, but they weren't. So we just walked around and I took some photos.
There isn't much else to really say about this festival since we mainly went for the pugs, but I hope you all enjoy the photos!

Heather

Pug Haven!!

Sunday, July 27, 2014

Hello everyone! I hope your day is going well! My day has certainly been one of the best days ever! Today I got to do the one thing I've wanted to do for the past two years! And I'm sure by theses photos, you can tell what I'm talking about.
I got to go and see pugs today!!
If you guys don't know, since you haven't read my Pugs, PUGS EVERYWHERE!!! post,  I'm obsessed with pugs, but I've never seen one in person before. I've always wanted to see one and I'm planing on getting two once I'm out of College, but yet I've never seen one in person. That might sound kind of weird to you guys, but I'm a weird person, so I think it's perfectly acceptable.
Anyways, I got to see these pugs today because there was a little festival going on near where my boyfriend lives. They had a bunch of vendors, concessions, rides, games, and rescue groups! The one rescue group that I found out was going was The Ohio Pug Rescue, which I follow on Facebook and have visited their website many times before. They were such nice people and didn't judge me because I wanted photos and was shaking and close to crying when we first got there. (I'm emotional, okay? And I was super happy. Don't judge!) The one lady even made me feel like my obsession was just a normal thing for any pug lover to feel/have! She has four pugs herself and they are all rescues! I highly recommend checking these guys out if you are interested in adopting a pug! Their prices aren't that bad either (anywhere from $75-$300) and it all depend on the age of the dog (younger pugs are more expensive, older are cheaper). The pugs I met today were Uncle Sam and the other started with a P... I forget! Boo. Sorry guys! But they were both super sweet dogs and both were eight years old!
Today was perfect and I absolutely love and thank my boyfriend for taking me just to mainly see the pugs! We of course walked around and visited other rescues and vendors, but we mainly went so I could finally see pugs in person. It was well worth it and I really hope my boyfriend agrees!
I hope you all have a fantastic rest of the day!!

Ciao,
Heather

Frozen Yogurt And Starbucks

Monday, July 21, 2014

Hello everyone!
My boyfriend came to visit me the other day and we went on some little adventures to a bunch of different stores! We went to Salvation Army, Target, the Mall (which has a Starbucks in it) and to Menchies (my sister came with us to Menchies, that's why there are three bowls)! If you guys don't know, Menchies is a frozen yogurt place where you get to choose the flavors of the yogurt and topping that you want on it! It's very good and I'd highly recommend trying it out if you have one near you! I only took photos of the frozen yogurt and Starbucks because we were mainly shopping for things for my boyfriend's apartment that he's moving into next month and we didn't find anything he was really interested in buying.
Other than that, we mainly sat around and played Zelda and ate some Subway that my mom brought home for us. We have a very interesting life, I know. Haha.
I hope you all had a great weekend!

Heather

Abstraction in Sculptures

Wednesday, July 16, 2014

Hello everyone! Today I decided to do a Throwback Thursday post... On a Wednesday! I took all of these photos a couple months ago for my final for my College Photography class. We could choose our own theme for our final (which was really freaking hard for me) and we had to have a series of eight photos that fit together. After a lot of brainstorming and struggling for about a week, I finally chose to take photos of most of the sculptures around campus and make them look abstract! I took a lot of photos of the same sculptures (from different angles of course) and ended up choosing these eight photos for my final. Overall, I'm very happy with how my final project turned out! I got a lot of good feedback from my classmates and my professor, and I ended up getting a B or B+ on it. Yay!

I hope you all have a wonderful day!

Ciao,
Heather
